Though actually I'm as nervous about my Evolver's encoders as anything
-- I always used to think of rotary encoders as being "good for long
time" until all this waldorf encoder stuff started hitting the fan...
maybe manufacturer synth feature lists should include MTBF[*] for all
the important parts....

[*] For internal parts:   Mean Time Before Failure
    For interface parts:  Mean Twiddling Before Failure   :-)
