I agree. But there will be no mix input on the keyboard as far as Dave has told me. In the P5 instance, we will have to simply use another couple of mixer inputs. Not as convenient, but not the end of the world either.

Subject: [Evolver] Poly-evolver keyboard has no mix input

I saw the picture of the Polyvolver KB's rear panel on the DSI site, and
noticed that it's missing the rack's "mix input"!

I guess maybe the thinking on DSI's part was that people would just
always use polyvolver racks for expansion, and feed the keyboard's
output into the rack's mix input -- but this is kind of a bummer for
those of us hoping to use a normal mono evolver as a single-voice
expander for the keyboard (-> 5 voice poly, just like prophet).

Any of you guys with Dave's ear care to ask him about this? Don't
forget us poor mono-evolver owners...

[Since the KB hardware seems almost a clone of the rack, I can't imagine
having a mix input would be very hard to implement, just the cost of
a pair of jacks...]

Thanks,

-Miles

is delayed and you get impatient, so you have to kill someone on the subway.

Hmmm, is there some sort of passive no-features very-small-space
very-low-price mixer one could use for this sort of thing?

E.g. 3 stereo inputs -> 1 stereo output with no controls (maybe a single
volume pot for each input or something).

I got this little mixer by Behringer called Eurorack Pro (although it
might be a bit biger than you were thinking) for just over a
hundred bucks. I couldn't believe it. It's 16 in and one stereo out
with one send. Just volume, balance and send, and a mute, for
each channel.
