Strange overload fx-input

Strange overload fx-input

2005-06-22 by colpaertpeter

Hello

Here's another newbie and proud owner of a evolver.Just now,I've
started using my evolver as a fx-unit.Very nice,BUT.....I work with
an
audio patchbay before all my audio signals go into my mixer. So when I
divert my audio from my soundcart (echo 24) straight into my
evolver, the sound clips all the time, even if I put my input gain as
low
as possible,also my input volume.So i have a clipped sound.When I use
my send function from my mixing table,I can adjust so it doesn't clip
or just a little. Is this normal??
Also, and this is with all my presets, whenever I give a little
distortion
it directly overdrives (pre- and post filter).i can go from 0 to 1 or
to 2 distortion level, but if I go to level 3 it makes an big jump in
distortion level, going from level 3 till 99 doesn't make much
difference .Does annybody has an explanation for this?Any help would
be
welcome.

Thanx in advance
Peter
