Will the "save program" command erase previous data?

If I use the command "save program" from the editor, will it permanently erase the data in the Evolver unit on the corresponding program? And the same question about the editor: where can I save my new settings without loosing the programs on Bank 1...4? I am using the mono Evolver with the SoundTower editor v.2.6.0 on a PC. My fear is that my usually very tentative editing will destroy the factory programs. jp --
