soundtower editor: "Q" sequencer checkboxes

Hi, i was wondering if someone could explain me what is the pupose of the "Q" checkbox, which appear in the editor, next to the sequencers. they are actually 4 (1 per sequencer). it is probably obvious, but i did not get it... many thanks mat.
