Howdy all,

I wondered what you guys used to blast across the update via MIDI? I have the official
Evolver editor software, has anyone used this? Or does anyone recommend any other other
platform for the update?

Im using Mac OS x for the update,

It would only seem MIDIOX is for PC only!

Has anyone used the Evolver Software Editor? Or can anyone recommend using any other
Mac OS X piece of software?

Many thanks

Re: [Evolver] Update Nation OS X

Hello, I used the Evolver editor and had a problem: all the sounds in the Evolver turned into noise (I posted that here some days ago). I'm not very sure of that this was the main reason of the problem... Later Dave sent me a sysex and I uploaded it with MidiOX, this solved the problem. The thing is that the Evolver Editor is asking for 2 sysex files to upload and this update is only one file. I'll recommend you to do it through Logic if you are using it.
Regards.

Hi, I ended up using the Evolver software and it went without a hitch. It did expect a
second file but I just cancelled that operation.

Replaced the chip no problems, a little scary though!

All the sounds are fine... update successful... Ive fallen in love all over agin. Sad but true.

Manyt hanks for all help and thanks to those who added soundbanks to the update which
arew wonderful.

Big up to Dave too!! : )

Right time for some noise action!!!!!! Beautiful

On OSX, I found a freeware called SysExLibrarian which works nicely. Very handy for
dumping and loading up banks.
