Editor Core Midi problem and the solution

2006-01-04 by Ulrich Reuter

ok I lost some hours with this in the last days, so I post my
successstory here; maybe someone who does a search benefits from that.

there were core midi services crashes everytime i launched
soundtowers editor 1.4.2 (Macos x 10.4.3)

It is a compatibility issue with MIDIOVERLAN (by MusicLab.com). This
has made it impossible to me to switch to 10.3.X (Core Audio) in the
editor's Midi preferences, since core midi had always already
crashed. The checkbox was blocked. So today I took out the
Midioverlan drivers, started your Editor, switched to Core Audio, put
the Midioverlan drivers back to the system and now it seems to run.
so cool...

best
