Evolver #162

Hello everyone, I had to wait a few weeks b4 playing with my new Evolver , i have #162. I was finally able to dig deep in this little monster this week. Needless to say i havent slept much in the last few days ;) There is not much i don't like about it. Everything is laid out in a logical order, it looks better in person (it is alive) and it's definitly the kind of Monosynth i was looking for. I wanted more of a Rythm Synth to go along my Waldorf XT and i was more anxious about learning to construct sequences. It's so much fun and instantly gratifying, i'm in love. I think it'S a perfect match. I also plugged my Electric Guitar in to it, fun but still not sure exactly how to use it to it's full potential. There is a few things missing that i'd like to see in the next OS. I think these were all mentionned b4: 1. The possibility of switching from one program to another without resetting the sequencer. Even better if we could chain the programs. 2. Gate control for the sequencer for notes with different lenghts. 3. A compare feature. I just read all the suggestions/requests and they are all good. I'm wondering what M. Smith has in mind for the next OS. If anyone goes to NAMM, you know what to do :) One last thing, i tried to download the program banks from Dave site but was unable to do so. I click on bank 1 and it directs me to a white page with the codes. If anyone has any info, i'd really like to get the banks cause i erased some of it already. Happy playing to all Evolver owners and thanks again to Dave Smith for putting together such a great professionnal music tool. Cheers, Simon Volt
