MEK Question

Hi,

One question about the Mono Evolver Keyboard - can you program the
sequencer from the keyboard? This would be great.

Thanks,
Max

yes you can, there's sixteen knobs right above the keyboard that you
can use to program the seperate steps. not only that but the display
also shows which note you are programming for each stop... very
useful when you're used to working with the two digit readout of the
desktop evolver.

I just received my desktop Evolver last week and installed and
configured the editing software last night. I was amazed at how the
software fully integrates with the evolver in a live setting. The
Evolver can control the software and the software can control the
Evolver all in real time and all visual - including the 4 sequencers
and all the steps in nice bars - every parameter is visable and can be
tweaked in realtime and saved easily as a patch. You can also DL the
beta morphing software that automatically morphs one patch to another
over a period of time. I also have a Novation X-Station
keybaord/synth attached to the Evolver for keyboard control as well.
Not to say I would not get the mono Evolver keyboard because it is a
beatiful instrument, but I wanted to comment that the software control
with the desktop unit is invaluable.
