strange midi sync problem

strange midi sync problem

2006-07-26 by omegaattraktor

hello!
i own a evolver (os 2.02) and most of the time i use it with the
internal sequencer. the stepsequencer gives so many possibilities to
modulate the sounds. when i use the evolver together with my tr808 i
have a dyn/midi-sync box to play them in sync with the 808 as master.
this worked perfect but since i moved my gear to my new home i can't
get the sync working right. the evolver still syncs to the midi clock
but it does not react to start/stop messages. i have to start it with
the start/stop button. the bpm parameter does always display 120bpm
und the midi clock is not sent out from the evolver when in the midi
clock I-O mode. this is really strange! Is there a parameter i have
overseen? Any ideas?

greetings:
oliver

o.k. it seems i'm to stupid for the evolver. the midi recieve
parameter was set off. i thought this means that no prg. changes and
control changes are recieved. but the manual clearly says that it
turns midi off. i have no midi keyboard connected to my evolver so it
took my some time to figure out my fault.
