I seem to be having a problem when polychaining them together.
Voice stealing, to be specific.

In the MED's Global menu, do you have the number of voices for polychaining set to 5? From what you described it sounds like it is set to "6."

Well, there's no such menu on the MED anyway, only the PER allows you to choose the
polychain number of voices.
But I solved it myself, it was a stupid thing after all - the PER was set to polychain 5, when
it should have been set to off. So the phantom silent note was actually midi being sent
from the PER on to the next evo in the poly chain, which in fact did not exist.
I must have changed the value on the PER when fiddling with the MED's chain on / off
value, while in chained mode, which would automatically set the PER to poly chain on.
Thanks anyway!

For reference, page 10 of the MED manual specifically mentions PolyChain in the Global menu. Polychain number is unique to each unit, i.e., changing the polychain number of one will not affect the others (which makes perfect sense, depending on how you want to set things up). Glad you got things worked out anyway!

No problem!
Yes, it does get a bit confusing, with all the three-letter clusters we're throwing about.
I prefer DEVO instead of MED for the desktop evolver, but it hasn't caught on for some
reason.
:)

I think of the Evolver as the original desktop Evolver. and others as they
are.

I don't think there needs to be an abbreviation to "E" for the original
Evolver. So, for me, the group is, for short: Evolver, PER, PEK and MEK.
