I agree with that.
a bit same as when you change combo, then all sequencers stop. this is
actually a "new feature" since os 2 (or 3 for the MED). I never
understood why adding this limitation. Dave told me that otherwise it
can get messy in combo mode. still cannot understand why it would be a
problem, as the seq could be disabled per patch if unwanted. maybe there
is a good reason behind that...
i have also seen people reporting this problem in various forum.
anyway. the workaround i found is to use "midi gate reset", and have an
external seq send constant midi notes. not a perfect workaround though.
if using hardware sequencers then the evolver max loop length is the
same as the hardware sequencer.
therefore it prevents from having slightly random evolving pattern.
i guess nobody is perfect :)
