According to the PolyEvolver manual, it should be possible to start/stop the sequencer via 
system real-time messages.  When I attempt to do so using the playback controls on a 
Novation Remote 25SL, the start/stop light on my PER does, indeed, turn on and off.  
However, the sequencer never actually starts and no sound is produced.  It's only when I 
manually press the start/stop button on the front of the PER, that the sequencer does its 
thing.

I find this very puzzling.  The real-time message sent by the Novation RemoteSL is 
interpreted correctly by PER to the extent that it knows to turn the start/stop led on, but it 
doesn't actually engage/disengage the sequencer.  Why not?
