As described in another email, the evolver uses to variable bits for increased resolution. The Edirol boards do not support this. I spent a long time learning midi sysex code and trying to program my PCR-80, but it is not possible because of the double variable. It seems they should be able to perform an update to their board to support this, but they haven't. As far as I know, the Kenton Control Freak and the BCR and BCF2000 can do this.
