Evolver Audio in

2007-12-10 by moroeat

Hello

I am thinking to buy a Evolver.

Is it possible to use both the external audio in and the analog
oscillators together ?

I wanna route the Signal from my Virus C in the Evolver and combine it
with the analog oscillators from the evolver.

The combined signal should then be filtered with the analog lowpass
and routed through the delay.

Will it be possible with a future update to set a different note
length each step in the sequencer ?
A slide option like te tb303 would also be very usefull.

Regards

moroe

Very Highly Unlikely

but diffrent lenght of notes can be archived anyway! ADSR can all be controlled by the sequneser..
i have two of them and love them both like my littel babys:-)

You an create an approximation of different note lengths per step by
using Clock Mod - somewhat tedious though.

 From the manual:

Another sequencer destination is Clock Mod. It works via a multiplier
based on a step
value of 40. If a sequencer step is set to 40, the clock speed stays
as set. If set to 20,
(half of 40), the clock will be twice as fast for that step.
Likewise, a step value of 80
will be twice as slow as normal, and 10 would be 4 times faster.
Note that overall limits of 30 to 250 BPM still apply; for example,
if you have a BPM of
120, and a sequencer step of 10, it will try to go four times faster
than 120, which is
480. Since it is greater than 250, it will clamp at 250. With clever
choices of BPM
(using Clock Divide as necessary) you can develop a pretty wide range
of timing
possibilities. Also, with sequences of different lengths, it can
really get quite wild.

I'd like to see osc. glide or "glide all" as an mod destination -
but there may be technical reasons why that wasn't included.
Perhaps in a future update - I hope we get one!

ye ive used that for rythmic stuff, but controlling osc or filter asdr via sequensers does the job really god i think..
i have two evolvers, it would be so cool if i could control the clock as you descibed below, from one unti to the other, without changeing its own clock..
but i have to get a dedicated sequenser for that, thinking of a doepfer mac16/3.

anyway..
peace out
