I have heard from DS in regard to the "Split" function of the left and right filters: "To answer your question on the Filter Split, it basically adds to the cuttoff of one channel, and subtracts from the other. Normally the filters are driven together to keep Left/Right operation the same. This provides a way to drive them apart. The Split is can also be modulated by any of the sources." There you have it.
