PEK Glide?

PEK Glide?

2008-08-20 by jasonfoote303

hi gang,
PEK newbie here with a question about the glide feature. i take it that
glide and potemento are the same things. i am a fan synth sounds that
blend perfectly from note to note (a la theramin) but i haven't been
able to get my poly to achieve this result.
i'm aware of the glide settings and where they are located in relation
to the oscillators. i did an experiment where i used the Basic Patch
and turned the glide all the way up to 100 (normal) to hear the effect,
but it has some weird results. the notes bend quite slowly but not
always and not always to the correct pitch. for instance i may hit mid
note and then hit a higher note and the pitch would bend DOWN.
something seems a little funky to the point where i'm wondering if
something could be wrong with my hardware.

has any one else noticed anything strange with glide?

is there a way to make a perfect glide from note to note??

thanks!
jason

Hi Jason,

Glide works only with monophonic or unisono sounds.

Greets
