How did they pull of sequencer glide in that one patch?

How did they pull of sequencer glide in that one patch?

2008-08-21 by Horton

One of the default sequence patches - pretty early on in the presets -
has portamento on the main riff. I keep meaning to dig into the patch
and see what's going on there, but does anyone know how they managed
to pull that one off? It sounds really cool, and clearly they're doing
a creative workaround...maybe using env. 3 to modulate the pitch of
the oscillator for the "slides."

As you supposed, this can be done by envelope 3 or a midi synched (saw) wave
LFO.

I'm at work and don't have access to the manual, but can you assign
Env 3's sustain time as a sequencer destination? If you can, with a
longer attack and release and env. 3 routed to pitch you could get a
very slidey sequence, with the S time setting the pitch of each note.
