New question - dumping sysex data/patches from Evolver to Evolver

New question - dumping sysex data/patches from Evolver to Evolver

2009-11-12 by motorzot

I currently don't have a computer with the Soundtower editor on board, so I'm being a little lazy here but I also want to keep some of the patches/banks of my DEVO different from the MEK.

1. Is it as simple as setting up the MEK to dump and the DEVO to receive?

2. Can you do this on a patch by patch and bank by bank basis?

Thanks

The answer is Yes to both questions. You can send a single patch from
the MEK to the EVO or you can send an entire bank. MIDI Out > Midi In.

What I don't remember is if you can send to a different patch NUMBER
than the MEK has stored. To clarify, I don't remember if I can save
patch 005 on the MEK to patch number 006 on the EVO. But I think you
can.
