Saving banks

2012-08-14 by r_domain

Hi all,

I was wondering what's the best way to save your banks from the mek or devo? I know I can use a basic sysex utility but is there anything where you can actually view the patch names? I guess I may have to pay for an editor for this feature? Recommendations if this is the case? I've looked at Mr I's editor and the Soundtower one. ST definitely does the patch/bank saving but costs a bit.

And one last thing. I can't seem to find a preset list of names anywhere. It's crazy. I've had a devo and just picked up a mek and would like to know if it's the original patch presets in it before I start writing over them :)

Thanks!

the names of patches? do they have names??
If i need to save info on a patch, return-track in ableton or what ever, i just write P-43 B-2 (for example)

I ended up buying the Soundtower editor and it works a treat! Still haven't found a basic list of the presets though. Very odd. Doesn';t matter much now anyway. I'm deep into the programming mojo now. Love this synth!
