Craving your indulgence.....

Craving your indulgence.....

2003-04-09 by graeme

Hi evolving people, I'm still new here (just got me beastie last week) and to be honest, it's a bit of a handful !!!
I'm pretty much okay on the "normal" analog side of things (filteres envelopes and LFO's etc) but can't really "get my head round" these confounded sequences.
I realise the best way to learn is just to to tweak away, but i could do with a conceptual "kick up the butt" to get me thinking the right way, so if anyone would care to take the time to give me a few pointers for constructive sequence tweaking i'm all ears (or should that be eyes)

Been there, done that... and documented some of it!

Try this forum post entitled "Newbie Sequencer Questions":

ubb=get_topic&f=23&t=000016

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link above
onto two lines, you may need to copy/paste the link into your browser
address bar.)

Assuming you're not having trouble with the basic steps necessary to
actually use the sequencer, perhaps this will help. And congrats on
getting your new Evolver!

Re: [Evolver] user waveforms!!

2003-04-09 by peter sedin

how is this done???
its sounds like amazing fun!! and sugar on top and
everything:))
were can i create this waveforms?? can audiofiles be
used for it?? i have a yamaha fsr-1 were i can import
audiofiles to a editor and use them as waveforms in
fsr-1..its a bitch to make it happen but its worth
it.. its totaly wild to make waveforms of rythmic
sounds.
anyway..i belive im the only one here that is a mac(
the happy face copmputer you know)user and every funny
editor i stumble in to is of course fo pc-people.
i got virtual-pc up and going but im sooo terrible bad
with pc..everything is kind of hidden behind that DOS.
and it took me 10minutes to find the @ sign:))
i use soundiver thoe..but not for evolver yet.. dosent
really see the point with it for this synth...its so
fast to edit!! but i have to make a sysex dump soon..i
would hate to loose 4 weeks of tweaking:)
peace out and keep evolving.
peter
