The PCY150S will only work properly on a Dtxpress II/III/IIIsp or the
Dtxtreme IIS. It will work on the other modules from Yamaha, but you will
only get two of the three zones to work. The PCY130/130S will work on any
Yamaha module.

So the question is, "Which module are you currently using?".

As you probably know, the 80s cymbal (DTX, DTXpressI, DTXtremeI)
preceded the 65s (DTXpressII and IIISTD), which has the same wedge
shape but a slightly different texture and arrangement of piezo and
switch. Members seemed to think that it handled the choking function
better. I also seem to recall that its price was lower. The 130s and
150s, which came out with the DTXpressIIISP and DTXtremeIIS, are
Yamaha's first round cymbals. The 150s has three areas that voice
(bell/bow/edge) rather than the traditional two (bow/edge). By all
accounts, these new ones are worth the extra money. Personally, I
think that Yamaha made a misstep by not offering round cymbals at the
outset. They were a long time in coming.
