I rec'd my DTX2s a couple of weeks ago and have
been doing a lot of experimentation, as I am implementing the brain to trigger
my acoustic kit.
One area that I am a bit confused on, is the number
of tom voices for a given voice family. For example I have decided that
for starters I like the sound of the Maple toms in preset kit #2. The
voices used are dryMaple10, 13, 14 and 16 which is fine to match up with the 4
e-toms that come with the DTX2s, but I have a 6, 8, 12, 15 and 18 in additional
acoustic toms (above and beyond my 10, 13, 14 and 16)
So... my question is, is there somewhere I can
download additional toms to match these sizes or are they hidden on the included
CD (I reviewed the Data handbook but could not find anything to indicate that
additional voices for the Maple kit were included there)
If there is nowhere to get these voices from, is my
only option to adjust the tuning of the 4 existing toms? That doesn't
seem like it will be adequate since the diameter and depth of the shell make as
much of a difference as tuning. I'm not sure if I'm explaining my
question/concern properly, but I guess my bottom line is, how do I best go about
getting voices for my extra tom sizes.
