Tom,

The Dtxpress line is I, II, III and IIIsp with modules for the  III & 
IIIsp being the same and the most up to date, then the II and then 
the I. The dtxpress I is the original one and the oldest.

The II that you sometimes here about being "better" than the III, is 
actual the bigger brother, which is the Dtxtreme IIS kit. It is the 
follow on to the original Dtxtreme I kit. 

The Dtxpress I, II and III all ran about $1000US and the IIIsp at 
about $1600US.

The Dtxtreme IIS runs about $2500US.

This maybe what is confusing you.
