No, what I meant was, I fold up the frame with all pads intact. You'll find that you can make it quite compact with only a few adjustments to the pad clamp positions. Provided you have a station wagon, or a hatchback model car like mine and can fold the rear seats down, you'll have enough room to transport the whole thing without having to take it all to pieces. The only trouble I have is in lifting it in and out of the car. I own a DTXI (now defunct) which came with a heavy solid black steel tube frame, but I understand the latest DTXII and DTXIII model stands are a much lighter aluminium.
