Just bought the Pinetech CC102ST pad at my local Guitar Center. Initially the snare wasn't very sensitive, but using the Voice Edit menu, I was able to tweak it to a more acceptable level. I noticed that there are already sensitivity presets that you can select. I started off with 'misc 1' and tweaked from there. I'm getting a bit of cross talk on the rim trigger, so I need to see how to correct that. I have been able to get both triggers to activate on the Pinetech snare by putting a tom input into the rim input on the snare and the snare going into the snare input on the brain. However, I haven't spent the time yet to get the rim input configured on the DTXpress Snare input. Is this the problem that you guys are discussing? Getting the rim trigger to activate in the Snare input on the DTXpress brain? I wonder if the problem might be related to what I am currently running into with trying to split the signal off the '7crash' input on the brain. I noticed that only one of the cable ends would allow a trigger to occur. It wasn't the cable because I could switch what was plugged into the splitter and I would get a trigger on the opposite end of the splitter cable. Then I noticed that if I hit the crash, and then immediately hit the other pad in '7 crash', the sound would stop immediately. So, I knew that the pad was doing something, but I couldn't get it to trigger so that I could assign a voice to it. So, investigating the DTXpresss manual, I've found that I can get the pad to register on the brain if I 'enable' the Rim to Pad setting (on page 45 of the manual). Now when I hit the pad, I see that the pad is registering on the brain, but the next difficulty is getting a voice to activate after each pad hit. I'm still not sure if this is what needs to be enabled for the pad to start to produce voices, or whether I have missed a step somewhere else. Anyone have any experience with this part. I'm curious if this could be the same problem that is happening with the snare? Sorry for the long post, but now that I'm deep into this drum set, the questions are really starting to pop up. Brett
