Hi Dennis,

Input 9/10, I'm afraid, is one of a kind on the DTXpress modules. You
can add triggers with different sounds only via a second module or
trigger to MIDI device like Roland's current TMC-6, made expressly
for electronic drummers. The discontinued Kat MIDIkiti, Roland PM-16,
and Aphex Impulse are also still handy, and affordable, though
increasingly rare and confined to mono inputs. Many people use
discontinued modules from Yamaha, Roland, and Alesis to expand their
kits. Used with a mixer (not necessarily an expensive item), a
current or past module can offer all sorts of innovation and
flexibility to an otherwise small kit. As for a store in LA, why not
give West LA Music a try? They claim a wide inventory. Remember that
many of the Roland, Hart, and Pintech accessories will work on a
Yamaha rack.
