Re: Thank you, thank you, ..., thank you!

The kit is as far as I am concerned the best overall e kit on
available to the public. Sound, and feature wise it is top notch.
The gig I played at I initially used a 100 watt keyboard amp and a
JBL EON-2 powered speaker set up. Also was a Yorkville 200 watt sub
woofer with a 10" speaker in it. I placed the woofer directly behind
me. I would recommend a bigger, more powerfull sub as that was not
cutting the grade for my taste's. I blew the speaker in the keyboard
amp and rented a 400 watt DHR?. Was not as powerful as the EON. Like
running the kit in stereo. I would not recommend the EON, as the
tweeter is very small and I think it would blow under duress. Going
to try some powered Warfdales perhaps. Was also going to try one of
the powered JBL subs with built in power amp. I am not decided on
exactly what rig I will settle on for my monitoring needs as I am a
volume pig and my need for punch is something in excess. I played
for years in bands and not had my own monitoring system. Now I am
overboard when it comes to that issue. Replaced the speaker in my
keyboard with a 300 watt RMS Gauss 15" speaker, but still the power
amp in that unit is only 100 watts. Kick drum requires a lot of
power. I am a soundman's worst night mare for small venues as my
stage volume is sufficient for the room. If prodded enough, and i
have confidence in the soundman, I listen and turn down. But if I
feel he isn't in the know where drums fit in the mix, I crank it and
know my drums are thumping out. Thanks for your interest.
