We need a little more information. When you say dual- zone, are you referring to one of Yamaha's rubber "stereo" cymbals that originally accompanied the DTXPII kit (often mislabeled as dual- zone), or do you mean a true dual-mono aftermarket cymbal that you have connected to input 9/10? If the former, you must have the cymbal connected to a stereo input--usually 6 or 7--with a stereo cable, and programmed separately in the voice edit menu for edge and bow. A true dual-zone or dual-mono cymbal from another company, however, will not provide two voices when connected to one of these stereo inputs, even with a stereo cable; it will need two separate inputs. Moreover, a rubber stereo cymbal will not provide two voices when connected to input 9/10, even with a stereo cable; this input is reserved for either two separate mono pads via a TRS Y splitter or one dual-mono pad (usually comprised of two distinct piezos) via either a TRS splitter or a single stereo cable, depending on whether the pad has one output or two. If you have the dual-mono variety, you will have to connect it to two inputs, either to 9/10 as just indicated (the usual way) or to any other combination of inputs 2-7 via a TRS splitter (generally a waste of these inputs, because their rim/edge option is thereby disabled). I hope this explanation isn't too confusing. Ed
