Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I've been playing around with this and was wondering what are the 
most accurate config for setting up the hi hat DTXIIISP? I know this 
is preference stuff, but my drummer which only uses acoustic kits has 
been playing this and says it doesn't react fast enough? Like a real 
one. What are some settings experienced players are using. I figure 
if I try a few, it may work better. When we mess with them, it seems 
some effect the others. Can you give me a good reference for a more 
accurate use? Thanks
