Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

It is a ribbon switch similar to the rim ribbon in the TP65S pad rims
and PCY65S rims. If you do a google search on FSR or Force Sensitive
Resistors, there are several sites that shows the what/how/why.

Can someone please tell me what trigger device Yamaha are using in 
the DTXpress pedal? (one with the separate tom tom pad and pedal 
H65). I know there is a pic of it in photos, but it doesnt look like 
a piezo.
