Hey OGD,
Thanks for the tip on the editor program. I've found the dEXTD.exe 
located here:

I've installed it and it looks great, but I haven't had a chance to 
test it on my DTXP3. (I'd like to post it on my site 
www.htmediaservices.com for easy download, and if I read correctly, 
the author offers it as freeware for open distribution, but I've 
emailed Peter Lawrence to check anyway).

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
