Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi people,

I am trying to improve the hi hat open and close sound- improve the 
contrast and make it sound as close to a rock solid sound - comes 
accross weak ( and I'm not talkin about just the volume) 

Any advice or direction would be appreciated!.
