You can actually split any of the inputs to feed two pads, but like you say, they will have the same voices assigned to them. You will need to use a true stereo - to - stereo Y-splitter though, like is used for splitter a headphone stereo output to two stereo outputs for using two headphones. This gives you the ability to have two crashes (but with the same voice), one on the left side of your kit and one on the right side of your kit. You can also, split the hihat pad or any of the other pads. The only thing you will have to content with is cross-triggering, as you can only setup the self-rejection setting for that input to one other pad on the kit. So if when you hit tom1 it triggers the crash on the left side and when you hit tom3 it triggers the crash on the right side, you can't tell the input no. 7 to ignore both inputs 3 & 5. " One more thing...I read somewhere, and I can't seem to find where again, that you can use mono splitters on the 9 or 10 inputs and in effect have an extra of the SAME cymbal on the kit. I haven't tried this so I don't know if it works but I intend to try it. Anybody out there know if this will really work or not?
