RE: Spam:[DTXpress] Multiple Hi-Hat sounds?

2005-11-21 by Damon, Rob

One of the down sides to the Yamaha modules, including the Dtxtreme IIS,
is that you cannot layer more than one sound per trigger on the hihat.

Also something else you can do, if you have two dtxpress modules and can
find a PCY10 and mount it to the top of a PCY65S, you can set it up as a
three zone hihat that is controlled by one HH65 hihat controller. It
will use up two input zones on each module though, one for triggering
the actually voice and one for controlling crosstalk. I decribed this in
detail a year or two ago here.

Subject: Spam:[DTXpress] Multiple Hi-Hat sounds?

I just wanted to ask a question to Steve concerning his posting last
week as
below -

>pads all day long. Furthermore, I have 2 single kick trigger pads
>with two pedals (one to each module) and a dual Hi-Hat set-up (one
>to each module, but controlled by a single Hi-Hat controller pedal,
>split by a custome splitter cable I made in which I can have two hi-
>hat sounds at one time!

Did you do this because the DTX module doesn't allow two Hi-Hat sounds
at
once ie. one sound on Voice 1, and another sound on Voice 2? This has
been
my experience with the DTXpress I kit I have.
