If you are going to use the HH series pedals for a kick, if should be plugged into input no. 1 only and should be setup as trigger type "HH controller", and then adjust the velocity settings to suit your playing style. You then do not have settings for the "normal" open/closed/splash/stomp settings, you just have the main pad sound to assign, which should already be setup for input 1 anyway. Then move the real KP65 up to a free input 9/10 and assign that input the correct trigger and voice settings that you desire. You must also use a stereo cable between the HH65 and the input no. 1. jack. If you just plug it into the aux input on the KP65 and move it up to inputs 9/10, I believe you will loose the velocity information that the HH65 sends to the module, thus the reason for using a stereo cable between the HH65 and the input no. 1. Just set the closed pedal to a bass sound, then the open to no sound....it's crap. My foot controller pickes up about every third hit. So, I just ran out and got a double bass pedal and am loving that! --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "ostin67" <phil@...> wrote: > > Hi, > > Does anyone know how to use this Hi Hat pedal as a second bass drum > pedal?
