Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi Everyone,
I'm wanting to ask any and all if you have taken the DTXpress into 
the studio to record, and if so what was your experience? I am trying 
to decide if I should shell out the extra money for the Roland V-
Custom, or can I work with the DTXpress kit? I have been reading 
through many of the posts here, and I am encouraged by everyones love 
for the DTXpress. You all seem like a great group and very supportive 
of new comers to the group!
