But why is it so quiet? Maybe the Yamaha kit is so reliable now that
no-one has problems ;-)

Well, so far quite a few people have built the "magic box" that I know
of, and presumably some I don't know about. I have also sold a dozen.

I joined a band a few weeks ago, had our first "gig" (four songs -
it's all we can play) and now I have bought one of these:

It may be useful to European users - it is good value and I think is
Thomann's own make. An alternative to the Behringer KX1200? Also,
luckily it fits nicely between the half folded legs of a DTXpress kit
laid on its back in the back of a car.

Next up are some more cymbals. Now I am playing "real" songs, a few
more sounds would be useful. Then I will need some sort of magic box
because I will run out of inputs!

I was thinking of getting the round cymbals, mainly for looks, but now
I am carting the kit around every week the wedge cymbals make sense -
the kit lays down in the car better than I think it would with a full
cumbal.

Anyway, I hope everyone is drumming and having fun.

Keith.
