My RHH130 had pedal problems out of the box, I had to lean most of my 
weight on my foot to -sometimes- get a closed sound.  I had already been 
reading the group so by the time my kit arrived I was aware of possible 
HH defects.  This message was the basis of my solution:

When the replacement arrived, I tested with the old one to confirm that 
it hadn't mysteriously fixed itself and then swapped in the new unit 
without making any other changes.  The replacement felt completely 
normal as opposed to the original that had me doubting the intelligence 
of my purchase.
