Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi,

I have a DTXpressII and am interested in recording it using a D888 Korg 
Digital Recording Studio that has 8 inputs (5-piece band, using 5 
inputs for each instrument, so there's currently only one channel 
available for drums -- and 3 remaining channels for vocals). All the 
musicians are using mono LINE OUTs into the Korg's channel LINE INs. We 
tried using an XLR out of the amp'ls D.I. OUT and into the balanced 
LINE IN/XLR of the KorgD888 - but when we played back the sound, it 
didn't sound sharp and clear as it did live out of the amp I'm using. I 
thought about using right/left outs of the DTXpress, but then I 
couldn't hear what I was playing, as we're all recording "live".  Any 
suggestions for our current set up -- or other better suggestions for 
recording using the DTXpress live -- are welcome. Thanks!
