I can't say for sure in your case, but for me, all I did was plug in 
the Yamaha one and it worked perfect. From what I understand, the 
Yamaha adapter isn't that great in general, but it works great with 
the DTX kits. Here is my post with specifics:

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
