Re: Recording the Dtxpress III in a Macbook

2007-08-27 by sudeep_kesh

Hey Carlos,
I'm doing this from memory so my advanced apologies if this isn't
exactly it, but you'll basically do the following:
1. Plug in your midi interface
2. Go to Audio MIDI setup (under Applications -> Utilities)
3. Click Add Device and double-click the item
4. Name this DTXpress or something so you'll recognize it in
Garageband / Logic
5. Plug in the DTX via MIDI cables (just MIDI Out on the DTX to MIDI
In on the interface if you want to record only, not play back to the DTX)
6. Open up a MIDI track and record away
7. If you want the computer to trigger the DTX brain, just output the
MIDI track back to the DTX via MIDI. If you have an audio interface
also, you can record this into the computer

This might be helpful to you as well:
