Drums on Rock Band Video Game.

2008-01-08 by pedro.rydlg

Hello all,

I've owned a DTXpress II for a few years know (bought it just before
they announced the comming of the DTXpressIII).

I have just added myself to this group, I'm a lousy musician who likes
writting his own songs and playing the 3 basic rock instruments, like
guitar, bass drums and voice, wait that's 4, and I said 3, but I'm
mainly a guitar player so I can't count... and I know voice may or may
not be considered a musical instrument, but that's not the point.

I have trouble with drums, because I've never gotten any instruction
on them, I can recreate the 8 and 16 beat sound from a keyboard and
add some uncreative and off tempo (not the good off-tempo, the bad
one) fills, and I got no natural talent, and I suck following any
instructional video or book.

I saw this rock band game, and I'm a fan of guitar hero, when I saw
the drum controller it seemed like there was a solution for my
prayers, I could get to play more complex rythms.

Oh, I did not check if this topic has been discussed already, but
anyway I had to introduce myself.....

Has anyone connected the DTXpress pads to this game?

Damn, I really typed a lot....
