All I can say is make sure the High Hat pad is plugged in to #8 hi hat 
input and the pedal is plugged into the 'Hi Hat Control' input with 
the stereo cable. Other than that it should have come from the factory 
all ready to go. If all else fails, see page 53 in your manual, 1-6 
Factory Set.This should restore everything to factory condition.
