Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I ran the DTXPRESS through a Firepod and have configured all settings in Cubase, with 
respect to VST connections.

I have been playing with Cubase a bit, and am able to record MIDI, and I can hear it play back 
in my monitors. However, when I go to export the MIDI as audio, I realized (being that all 
other tracks are muted) that the MIDI track does not show any levels in the output mixer, and 
also will not record any sound when I export as audio.

Thus my question is how should I go about making the MIDI track show up in the output 
channel. The only VST setting I have as an output channel is that for the midi port itself on 
the Firepod, i.e. it will no show the monitor channel that I have all of my audio tracks running 
through.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
