Hi folks
Could I just take this opportunity to bring something to the
group we've been trying to do on the Bodhrán group I run?
We're blessed with a limited amount of storage space here at
Yahoo! Groups, so the more there is in each and every message, the
more space is used overall. Longer posts are fine but ... if we just hit
send before stripping out the duplicated message we're replying to, without
trimming it down to the line or two you're responding to or (better still)
removing the original post completely, we're going to waste that
space.
What's more, if a member is subscribed to this group in digest
mode, they will have to scroll through the same message several times whilst
trying to pick out the few lines of relevant replies we have posted in
between.
So, before posting, please remove the message you're replying
to completely or trim it right down to the line or two you want to quote, then
we can make sure our archive is full of interesting content instead of
repeats!
