I must have been sooo close as well - I set up a pad to be "pad song"
instead of normal while investigating this.  One more push of the
button and I would have found it

According to the RHH135 manual you need to set up the DTXpress III
module trigger setting to "4. SP Med" (same as for the RHH130).  They
also quote settings for all the other modules.  However, that selects
a complete trigger setup with the hihat setup as RHH, so all you
really need to do is edit the hihat trigger to RHH. 

Make sure you buy the RHH135 not the RH135 because that's a lawnmower:
