Max,

"2" is supposed to mean 2ms which is quite short.  If true, it shouldn't cause the problem but try reducing it anyway.  There is a possibility of capacitive pump up, though I don't know why that should be the case.  If you are handy with a soldering iron, put a 100k resistor across the pad and see if that helps.
