RE: Spam:[DTXpress] Multiple Hi-Hat sounds?

2015-04-03 by a_zapelectric@...

Never saw this question, and was away from this forum for some years...It's now April 2015!!!! For the archives, you can using a 2nd (or more) module to either layer sounds, or play 'different sounds' from a Hi-Hat pad assigned to each module you have. I personally use a dual trigger pad for each modules Hi-Hat input, controlled by ONE Hi-Hat controller pedal with my stereo Y splitter.
For anyone contemplating the use of multiple trigger modules, there are many possibilities. I now use (4) trigger modules with my extended rack/pad set up. I'm about to make myself a 1 to 4 stereo splitter so that my one Hi-Hat control pedal splits up to go to all (4) modules. In addition, I'm designing & building a DIY/Custom Hi-Hat pad with eight trigger zones (two for each module)...instead of using a dual trigger pad for each modules Hi-Hat trigger input. I'm designing it so that each zone will be incremental from the front to rear (in 'strips' of zones).
With using just (2) modules with (1) controller pedal, I'm able to access more sounds in ToonTracks Superior Drums VSTi in my DAW ...especially with PCY80s or PCY65s dual trigger pads. But with my specially designed (8) trigger pad, I'll have many more possibilities...not only with Hi-Hat, but others if I so desire.
