Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Having seeen a few posts about missed triggering I thought I'd pass 
on my experience.  I've had my kit for around 9 months now - playing 
as another 'mid life crisis' beginner for which the DTXpress is 
perfect therapy!

After a few months of use I started to get missed triggers from the 
Hi Hat and Snare pads though swapping pad units around made no real 
difference.  My problem seemed to be with the jack plug / pad 
connection - when I was getting missed triggers it appeared that the 
plug had worked loose fractionally, presumably leading to an 
intermittent connection.  This seems to be common to all pads on my 
unit - ie each plug has a small amount of movement (about 1mm) but 
only gets bad enough to cause problems on the two most abused pads.

I changed the leads on these two pads a few weeks ago and now have 
much more solid connections and no problems since then.  Might be 
worth checking if you have similar symptoms.
